Day 6 School Day + Western Development Museum
Day 6
20/7/2026
Monday
After breakfast this morning, we headed to Lakeview Church for English class, where we made posters to promote Saskatoon and read more of The Miracle Worker.
After lunch, we spent the afternoon at the Western Development Museum diving into Canadian history. The best part was Boomtown Street—a 1910s streetscape with over 30 old buildings and stores, including a century-old prison cell!
The Transportation Gallery featured vehicles across various eras, and we checked out the Bladon Family Toy Collection. I loved seeing the 1973 Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls (fun fact: the horror film Annabelle was actually based on a real Raggedy Ann doll!). We grabbed a few souvenirs for our trip back to Hong Kong, then spent some time walking around Lawson Heights before our host families picked us up. I even picked up a Green Day CD!
It was a long day, but a great one.
