Day 3 17/7/2026 Today was Day 3 of being in Saskatoon. We woke up early and had cereal for breakfast. I also got to try churro-flavoured Pop-Tarts. After breakfast, we packed our lunch and headed to Lakeview Church for another English lesson. We watched part of a play about The Miracle Worker . After that, we wrote a paragraph about describing our favourite place using descriptive writing. Then we had lunch. For lunch, I had a sandwich, a small croissant, an orange, and a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. After lunch, we went to a park to play National flag football. Mr. David’s sons even came to play with us. They were great coaches, and we learned how to play defense and goal during a match.    After the game, we stopped by a souvenir shop called SaskMade for some locally produced products for souvenirs.  Next came dinner, which was, yes, a delicious pizza! Then came the most anticipated evening activity: the Summer Barn Dance! We were so excited just thinking about it. On ou...

Day 2 16/7/2026 Lakeview Church → University of Saskatchewan The first two days were full of productivity and adventure. After a great sleep, we woke up early and had a delectable breakfast of scrambled eggs and golden brown toast. After eating the breakfast, we packed our bags and headed to Lakeview Church for an entertaining lesson. We have done speaking, reading, and writing there. Our teacher, Mr. Larson, taught us an old but well-known play: The Miracle Worker which is about Helen Keller. We even snapped a few photos for our upcoming video project before getting our lunch! We played a game called Sensory Deprivation during the lesson. We can only use our body language to explain the word that we read to our partners, and they had to draw out the picture. During the break, we played card games and table football with our teachers. Some of us even played Switch!! After the class, the adventure in the University of Saskatchewan began. Exploring the fascinating campus classrooms...

Day 1 15/7/2026 Hong Kong==> Vancouver International Airport (YVR)==> Saskatoon Today was our travel day. We first flew from Hong Kong to Vancouver, a 12-hour flight.  The flight wasn’t bumpy, and we managed to take a few naps and watch some movies, such as F1 and Breaking Bad . It was our first long-haul flight, but luckily it wasn’t too hard for us.  Because of a flight delay in Hong Kong, we missed our connecting flight to Saskatoon, so we spent another five hours at the airport before finally arriving in Saskatoon after a two-hour flight.  While waiting for our connecting flight, we even watched the World Cup semi-final between England and Argentina. It was an exciting match. If it weren’t for the delay, we might not have had the chance to watch this breathtaking game. Later, we met our host family, Ms. Linh, who warmly prepared us Vietnamese noodle for dinner and kindly suggested that we go to bed early so we would be energetic tomorrow. This is the end of our...
