Day 11 Disc golf +free evening with host family

Day 11

25/7/2026

Today was a really fun but exhausting day! I went to the park to play a round of disc golf. The course has 18 baskets that you have to get the frisbee into, which makes it quite challenging but fun at the same time.

The weather was incredibly hot and there were tons of mosquitoes, so all the walking definitely took a lot out of me. While we were playing disc golf, there was a bubble run event in the same venue—it was so fun to see young kids and adults running in bubbles!

After the game, we stopped by a drugstore because I needed to pick up some lip balm. Once that was sorted, we headed home for a delectable lunch of grilled cheese alongside chicken and mushroom soup. Later in the afternoon, Gwen wanted to play a board game called Trouble, and we had a blast playing it together.

Since we didn’t have any major evening plans, we decided to fire up the barbecue for dinner. The food turned out perfectly grilled—absolutely mouthwatering. After winding down for a bit, the exhaustion from disc golf finally caught up to me. I got ready for bed and called it a day!

Other memorable moments with other host families:

Some of us watched a musical at the Persephone theatre. "Hadestown" was such a great show. The way it blends myth, love, and survival was really powerful!
